in some respects its very daunting to try to get back into it after a long break(is 15 years long enough?). ive just bought the new tamiya 1/48 tiger and stug and to be quite honest dont know where to start!
things sure have moved on a long way, what with photo etched parts and cast hulls.
we all seem really fixated on the authenication of these models, even i have found myself pouring over osprey books so people dont pick me up on my short comings.its a shame really because i used to do it for the fun and to relaxe.
ive found it very difficult to find good internet sites for beginners, even an idiots step by step guide to any tank(german or otherwse)would be a start.its this reason that has made me determined to keep a build journal and to post it to this site as i build this stug.im going the whole hog, including photoetched parts to try and help the newbies like myself.
