Freek, I think you need to re-read my post. I didn't say anything about intimidation within T-L, I said that I felt intimidated by the quality of the work being posted and the crits that may follow due to my ignorance about a particular subject(see Peter Johnstone's comments). One such example I've read recently was attached to a quite superb piece of work by Vladimir Demchenko entitled "Nach Moscau!". In amongst all of the notes congratulating Vladimir on his incredible dio Martin Dogger posted "....Well, you're right about the painting, and the haystack looks good too. but spectacularly good composition? One probably couldn't go wrong. It's a Dragon kit, and most of the times Dragon sets have 'pre-laid-out' compositions. So it's merely a matter of copying boxart than a well thought out model....".

Now if there was ever a classic example of burning someone else's work then this has to be it and hence my trepidation.
