| I find it hard to go back once I start using certain aftermarket items. The Friul tracks are a prime example. At a minimum, I'll want a decent PE set, whether I decide to use all of the parts or not (I find Eduard the best when I'm in a "quick build" mood-I can never get to all of the Aber parts!). Barrels are now also a must have. I'd guess that excluding the metal tracks, I tend to typically spend 10-25 on a kit, 10-15 on PE, 5-10 on a barrel, who knows what on paint, cyano, glues, putties, #10 blades, references etc). When you have those "must have" resin interiors or parts add on another $10-30 and then tracks if you've gotta have 'em. Damn, and I've got between 100-200 unbuilt kits lying around! Gotta get busy finishing some things before I bring more in (he says as the UPS man knocks on the door). Too many "in-progress" items! |
