For those of you who think that small scale armor is significantly cheaper than large scale modeling, here is a project I have on my workbench right now:

Italeri (ESCI) M4A1 Sherman: $8
MR Models M4A2 (76)W Conversion: $20
MR Models T-49 Track: $10
Extratech Etched Brass Details: $4

So, at a minimum, this is costing me $42. In addition to that, I have several accessory sets that are being used in part on this kit, but with a lot of left over bits for additional projects:

MR Models Sherman Accessories: $18
Extratech Stowage Items: $5
Extratech .50cal MG: $8
Extratech 76mm Ammo: $7
ARMO Decals: $4

So if I take a quarter of that, say another $10, that brings this project up to $52. Not as much as extensive 1/35th projects, but pretty pricey considering the size of the final product.
