Subject:  Mothballs - effect on kitsList thread.

 Date:  Apr 16, 2005
 From:  Christopher C. Tew
I've noticed a few silverfish and other creepy crawlies in my model storage area lately and am especially concerned about the decal and instruction sheets in unwrapped kit boxes. Has anyone else delt with this kind of problem in long-term storage situations? Has anyone tried ordinary mothballs and seen any adverse effects on the plastic parts or decals (I'd rather not go through and remove the decals to another area if possible)?
