Country : Singapore

really small island country in South East Asia. About 3 million population. At last count we have about 10 shops selling armour as well as other kinds of kits.
because of where we are, we are pretty well stocked with Dragon, Trumpeter , AFV club and Tamiya.

With the euro rising Italeri, heller and Revell Germany are pretty hard to find.

Most of the shop owners will moan that there are less young modellers.
But i think thats not necessaruly true some shops are always crowded because the staff are friendlier and give better service.

A recent thing is having a modelling lesson in the shop. For a fee the staff will guide a newbie in building, painting and weathering a kit. The newbie ends up being a regular with the shop and will often bring like minded friends in too. others will hang around to watch and end up buying something as well.

Anime is popular with the youngsters now and many new plastic modellers start of and stay with Bandai's Gundam Series kits which are really well engineered for easy building. Plus there isn't much need to "accurize" big robots so no pressure to get references right.

we do have a few really good modellers whose work are on the net and in a few modelling magazines.
