I've only been making armor for about three years so I missed the big revolution when Tamiya really upped the ante with their new design kits.
For me, the real eye opened was the Academy M-10 Duckbill. I was really blown away that you got the entire vehicle (interior and engine compartment). I really thought, wow, the whole thing, and its done well!

P.S. If you include the aftermarket stuff, another big wow was my first set of Friul tracks. |
