Thats cool !

I wasnt in anyway saying one scale was better than another, as I am sure they both have their pro's and cons depending on your subject, experience, etc.

When i put the incorrectly labelled 1:35th (actually closer to 1:32)scale verlinden figures next to a tamiya 1:35th actual, and then next to a vehicle, the 32nd scale one looks out of place and has a feel of being clumsy. even just next to the 35th scale figure, the smaller feels like it has more finesse, even though its less well detailed!

Sometimes I feel like some things dont look good in big scales. When i go to competitions, I love looking at and admiring the detail work of the aircraft modellers. But I always find myself looking at the 35th scale ones and feeling like they ought to have action man in them or something.. like their not models anymore but just oversize toys that i can imagine kids running about going "zoom zoom" with. I dont disrespect the work that goes into them, but when i look at models, sometimes the smaller the scale the more amazed I am at how they manage to fit all that detail in such a small space.

This is all about "feel". Not in anyway saying what I think is better, just what feels better to look at. I find most fighter aircraft "feel" nice to look at in 1:48 scale. I "feel" most armour looks best in 1:35 scale, and even the tiny differences feel wrong. I sometimes feel that when looking at brail scales.. the 76th scale stuff is better than 72nd scale.

Talk about splitting hairs!

Just my opinion. Not fact.

Adam
