I thought it would be interesting to find out how many of you guy belong to a model building club that you regularly attend?
What is your club, an affiliate of IPMS, MAFVA, AMPS etc? How often do you meet? What happens at these meetings? etc.
I used to attend the local IPMS club here in Vancouver while I was going to university. Usually there was some models but mostly aircraft.
In Victoria I was a member of VMMS (Victoria Military Modelling Society... I think). I was one of the founding members and we'd hold armour-only meetings each month at a different members' home. These where a lot of fun. This was about the time when Tamiya started its new tool Panther, King Tiger kits and DML had just started. After a while we got a regular meeting area and the aircraft guys attended.
Since moving back to Vancouver I haven't attended any club meetings. I've been thinking about getting an AMPS Vancouver going for years now but haven't had much interest.
