I'm a member of AMPS, T-Factory, and IPMS. Unfortunately, the IPMS Orange County, CA meetings are held in the opposite end of the county on Friday nights when traffic is bad so I can't get to them. The T-Factory meetings are on the other side of LA so that's not in range either and I haven't ehard of any AMPS meetings on the west coast.
Recently I've been going to the Tamiya Model Club meetings since the Tamiya USA Headquarters is only 5 mintues from my house. I got to know the guy who heads up the club for Tamiya when I was in Japan last month and he convinced me to go. Its a good group but not a lot of armor guys.
I'm also part of a group (not really a club) called the 'Model Geeks of Southern California'. Its really just a bunch of us who are friends that make a point of coordinating which shows we go to so we can hang out.
