Hi Billy,
If you are referring to the U shaped wire loops, there should be 4
consistent pairs with others added as needed. These were used to loop
leather straps through which held a tarp. The top four were evenly spaced
between the two rear hooks in an upside down U manner while the remaining
four were welded directly underneath.
If a gun is used, do not forget to use the stowage mount on the rear.
On the early T-54 (with spider wheels) the gun did not have a fume extractor
(large long cylinder near the muzzle). However, after overhaul with the
better gun mounts (designed for the gun with fume extractor), it became
necessary to add a counterweight to the muzzle.
