Hi Saul and Christophe
I just received a J. R. barrel today for the SU 100 and T54. It does have a
step at the end of the barrel which would indicate a counterweight, which would
be right for the T54 but not the SU 100. The stepped portion of the barrel is
not all that big, so it may be a little undersized to be appropriate as the
counterweight for the T54.
I can not tell you if the barrel is the correct diameter or length as the
only reference I have on the SU 100 is an old Armour In Profile,# 21. There are
no line drawings in this small booklet; there are however a number of pictures
and from what I can figure J.R.'s barrel is for a post war SU 100 because the
post war ones had the counterweight at the end of the barrel. HTH.
