Mario,
For most British Army Scorpions, you will need to backdate the engine deck.
The AFV Club Scimitar and Scorpion kits are basically the same. This means that the upper hull/engine deck represents a late production vehicle.
As most Scorpions were built early on, they normally have the early deck, even if all the stowage bins etc are fitted. The hull is good for many Scimitars (early Scims had the early engine deck).
The only British Scorpions that are likely to have the later deck are those originally issued to the RAF Regiment - since transferred to the army when the armoured element of the RAF Regiment was disbanded.
Many (perhaps all?) export models have the late-pattern engine deck, so Irish or New Zealand vehicles would be a possibility
Regards,
John |
