Thanks for bringing another perspective, indeed things are done differently in different countries.

This kind of reinforce my point as Iraqi manufacture must be even cruder. According to Steve Zaloga ("T-54 T-55 T-62", Concord
Publications), the multilayer armour we are discussing in this thread was made in the divisional workshop of the 5th Mechanized
Division in Kuwait.

My MT-LB remark was based on comments of a Finnish (or was it Swedish?) modeller who compared several vehicles of the same type (but
maybe from diffrent production batches/factories?).
