| Dave: Romanian tanks were painted khaki, a color very close to US olive drab...The crew wore khaki overalls (greenish in color) of French and Czech influences, they wore a large black beret pulled down over the right ear (French style) in combat they wore a French M1923 tank helmet painted dark blue(any Heller tank kit has this helmet & the old Italieri tank equip. set had it). In August of 44 they wore a red/yellow/blue arm bands....hope this helps...Osprey has two books covering the Romanian Army of WWll "Romanian Army of WWll"#246 and " Germany's Eastern Front Allies 1941- 45" # 131 George Fender |
