Hi David,
Off the internet, I found 46 photos (all small and/or poor) of the tank. As
for the crew, I found over 70. I found the song, the lyrics, and the
DVD/VHS on offer.
What I did not find were any clear photos, covering most sides, of the
vehicle proper. From Polish production, I noted the full finned wheels.
These I have from a DML kit.
The turrets appear as both the DML kit, or the Polish productions which
differs in contours to the CMD Czech turret I have. Being different, this
is the one I am interested in.
The exhausts are a mystery since they could be as in the DML kit, scalloped
as in the CMD Czech set, or with the bolts slight recessed into the casting
(actually, the casting was made thicker). I have photos of all three
variants on Polish vehicles.
Last, two museums claim to have Rudy. In the scrap yard behind the Army
museum at the Fortress in Warsaw, I saw Rudy painted on a tank.
In Poznan, I read a claim that Rudy was in their tank collection.
Being a TV series, it is possible for more than one tank to be used (one
kept as backup).
In any case I'm still looking for clear photos.
Regards,
Saul Garcia |
