Christophe,

Apparently the British paintwork suffered in the sandstorms, the C2s were painted in Germany (at least they were pictured in sand loading in Germany). The Royal Marines kit was originally green in theatre, I guess the sand was applied in Kuwait.
Occaisonally vehicles were left in green, green / black, sand / green, all spotted in BBC/ITN/Sky.
