Hi Christophe:
Just looking through my M1/IPM1 operators manual, the other major thing seems to be the lack of the NBC system on the left side of the hull - there is a stowage bin there instead; the fire extinguisher handle is slightly more forward on the hull side of M1s and IPM1s than on the M1A1 due to the NBC pack as well.
Of course, there could be a variety of rear skirt configurations around the drive sprockets, which are likely to have the track retaining ring fitted.
I also believe that the engine deck is slightly different, in that the earlier M1s lack the two small access hatches towards the rear of the engine deck. If you have specific areas that you would like me to take a look for in the manuals, please drop me a line at zott.msn@attcanada.net.
Hope this helps! Cheers,
Scott Taylor
