Soviet Green doesn't stay Soviet green for long in the 'Ghan. I don't know if it's the unfiltered UV rays or just the harsh climate in general. The best match I've found (and I've personally seen literally hundreds of these vehicles in the past year) is Faded Olive. Can't remember if it was Polly S or Model Master, but it was acrylic at any rate. I can point you toward a few of my pics if you like.
