No no, it isn't that marvelous when you build a "double-double" bridge with 36m
span! The frames weight in att 275 kg and the beams at 211 kg!
I did my military service in Royal Swedish rmoured engineeres, so i built the damn
thing a couple of times. In the beginning with manpower, later with machines.
The Swedish army useses ex WWII Bailey Bridge equipment with a few things like
hydraulic jacks to ease ground prep. on the launshing side.
I have a copy of the swede manual (from the 50's) and i'll look if there are some
good drawings.
