Ah, yes, weekends mean not getting paid to proofread. Hahaha ;-).
But seriously, the photos in Japanese books are indeed large, often in color, and perhaps the best quality anywhere, not to mention many exclusives. The sample pages posted on HLJ show the Type 90 MBT in its latest incarnation. One just can't find such photographic info in a chain bookstore, not to mention in Jane's Tank Guide.
Some Japanese books do contain old articles and photo collections from Western authors that probably were published in Concord books or Popular Science beforehand so beware since such content isn't "new." For instance, one of my ARMS books covers the 10th Mountain Division. The author is Concord's Sam Katz; the photos came from the Concord book, there's only eight pages, and the photos are 1980s-ish.
