Hi Joseph,
I don't know where to find the pics, but if you find any M113 engine pictures, they are the same as an M577. Just be aware that an M113A1/M577A1 will have a different radiator/cooling fan layout than an M113A2/M577A2. The old Tamiya M113 with the engine must be the original engine type. I'm not sure what kind it is, but it sure isn't the 6V53 Detroit Diesel that the A1 and A2 series have. The Academy A2 kits have a Detroit Diesel and the A2 cooling system. Very basic detail with lots of room for all with A.M.S.(advanced modeler syndrom).
I believe the Verlinden book, War Machines #2, on the M113 family has some engine compartment photos.
