The original engine in the Mii3 series vehicles was a Crysler gasoline V8, as depicted in the Tamaya model. The A1 and subsequent series switched to Detroit Diesel 6V53 series engines of increasing power, with the A3 switching transmissions as well. The M557 vehicles used the same drive train as the matching sub-series M113 series. The above mentioned page provides pictures of most of these, including the differences between the A1 and A2 engine cooling setup.
