As far as I know, the US Army used haltracks more or less extensively
during the Korean conflict. Though pictures of HT's used in the
traditional APC role during that period are rather scarce, there are
quite a few pics out there of AA HT's - both M15A1 and M16 - in action
during the heavy fighting of 1950-53.

After that, I'd be surprised if the US Army continued to use HT's, since
decisions were made right after WWII to drop the haltrack concept
altogether in favor of fully tracked vehicles.

You'd have more luck at finding US halftracks in service after Korea if
you looked in other armies, like the French who used them extensively in
Indochina (50's), and the Israelis who have been using them ever since
the Sinai conflict and still used them, on a more limited scale (reserve
units) during the Lebanon conflict of 1982.

For what it's worth,

Charby
