Hi,
Israel certainly used Cromwells, apparently stolen from the British in the late 1940s. When the Jordanians upgraded to Centurions, they gave a number of Charioteers (Cromwell with a 20 pounder) to the Lebanese which were later used by the PLO against the Israelies.
If you go to this website, you can see a picture of the same tank. You can also see a picture of a Cromwell next to a Merkava. Although the picture is poor quality, you can see the way the gun attaches to the turret is completly different.

I suspect the museum tank has a fake gun. |
