Italy is still a major user of the M60A1, though I have no information on it being deployed to Kosovo. Italian peacekeepers did deploy them to Somalia in the early 1990's, however. Italy manufactured an all-new battle tank, the Ariete, but lacked the budget to replace all of its older tanks, so they have a mixed fleet of Ariete, M60A1 and Leopard 1 MBT's (they were able to finally retire their M47 Pattons).
The last US forces using the M60A1 were the US Marines in 1991 in the first Gulf War (only one-third of the USMC tank forces were able to upgrade to the M1A1 Abrams in time for Desert Storm). The Army had long since phased its M60A3 tanks out of frontline service by that time.
