I am pretty sure your photos are of an M4A2E8..the diesel engined version.
Canada used the M4A2E8 post WW II in both Regular Force and Reserve Regiments. The only M4A3E8s were used in Korea and were not brought back to Canada.
Thanks for posting the images. They should still assist you in your build. Try both Archer and Quarter Master's Depot if you are looking for markings for Canadian post WW II Shermans. |
