There was a really good documentary on CBC last year about this. They were trying to identify the person in the photo. Maybe go to www.cbc.ca and try find it...? I know you can order the documentaries from libraries too, at least here in Canada you can.
I remember there was quite a bit of "reference" on what he guy was wearing, what he was carrying, etc. all in an effort to ID him.
There was quite a few sequences on other tanks in the area at the time, these would be pretty helpful.
