Daniel,
I did mine starting with Dragon's latest Firefly kit and using the M4A2 engine deck and exhausts that come with most of their recent Shermans (I think I used them off their M4A3(76) Battle of the Bulge kit where they are extras).
I used the Heller turret and had little problem making it work.
