I spent many years on the M-60 / M60 A 1, etc. It is definetely a personnel heater exhaust pipe.
Note the "bilge pump" does not exist on the M60's. Fluids, etc was "washed" out via a water hose at the wash rack, etc., through armored "bolted on" round plates under the rear area of the hull (usually seen molded onto model kits).
Were located directly under the "pack" at the hull rear.

Half the time they worked the other half the time the caused fires in the driver compartment where the personnel heater was located.

It was "Diesel fueled" directly from one of the Tanks fuel tanks.
Had a glow plug starter -

If you intend to include one in your model:It would be behind the drivers "control panel" cylindrical, about 21/2 feet long by about 12 inches in diameter with the starter element in the top portion.
