I saw old 8 mm film footage of the SAS in the Oman taken by an SAS member on a television show last year specifically about the SAS in the Oman.
A Pink Panther land rover was shown quite clearly in a town at a school(winning the hearts and minds of the population) and it was in rough shape. The pink colour was very faded but visible and it had the FN fender rifle carrier removed or broken off....you could see the faded and chipped green base coat outline of the rifle carrier.
It for sure did not look like the restored ones or out of the box Tamiya version. |
