It will be German Leopard 2A6Ms that Canada will take to Afghanistan. Those are the 20 loaned/leased tanks that will deploy with the next rotation in the late summer/early fall.
The now ex-Dutch tanks will be brought to Canada.
Any modifications other than radios is unknown...but likely the MBGDs will be changed to the 76 mm Wegmanns used on the Coyote, LAV III, and TLAV. |
