Very interesting. I had come across the conversion you mention during my Google searches. I am very interested in doing a scratch built conversion to this type based on the Tamiya kit. Are the drive and return sprockets T-72 type, or new like the road wheels?

Thanks for all the information too. I've read that this hasn't been purchased by anyone yet. Does it really make the T-55 more capable on the modern battlefield? I can't be the judge of that. My idea was either to depict as the Omsk show vehicle or portray a fictional deployment
