Paul,
After looking at all photos again I would say that the only Sherman parts of this vehicle is the running gear (sprocket, idler, suspension and tracks). Looks like the vehicle has it's own lower hull and is not a Sherman hull. Odd thing too is that all the rubber from the road wheels are gone.
Would be a unique item to model.
