Hi Paul,

It seems this armour principle is based on the conductive properties of the copper lining of shaped charges that forms the penetrative jet.

What if these linings are replaced with not conductive metals/alloys? (Lead linings?)

If that happens, the 'counter-solution' costs a fraction of the solution, eg. different lined RPG warheads versus converting your fleet to this electric armour.

Any ordnance specialist here can tell us if the lining of shaped charges has to be copper by defenition?

Also, does it mean that the crew has to stay 'buttoned up' to avoid being fried? If so, in build up area combat scenarios, situational awareness and target discrimination will be reduced seriously! Increasing so called 'collateral damage' by which 'winning hart and minds' tactics will be further disqualified.

And in any case, no careless peeing against your AFV any more! ;-)

Cheers,
Alex
