Hi guys,

In the attached pic there is a M1A2 with the M151 RCWS.

In this pic, and some other pics that I found on the net, this configuration with the RCWS behind/beside (?) the commanders position is markedly different from the in Iraq used TUSK conversion package.

Looking at the TUSK package one notices that the forward view for the commander is rather impaired and interference of the M151 with the commanders independent thermal sight is not unlikely. That aside, the M151 has a wider field of view and fire mounted on the forward turret roof as in TUSK then it would have mounted further backward on the turret. Perhaps this is more important then a 'grand overview' for the commander when used in close in urban combat?

So my question is, is the vehicle depicted in this pic an 'one off' prototype, or is this the normal position for the 'non TUSK' Abrams M1A2 with M151? For in tank versus tank combat a commanders 'grand overview' IS of utmost importance.

Also, would like to see some better pics of this configuration as I like to do my new DML M1A2 in this configuration.

Hope somone has the answer on this one!

Cheers,
Alex
