| I was in the Australian Army a few years back, and the LandRover GS weren't fitted with a radio at all, but the FFR's (Fitted for radio) had either a single stack in the centre of the rear backing up against the rear of the front seats, or two stacks, one in either front corner behind the front two seats. The FFRs were easy to distinguish due to having the antennae mounts on the outside of the vehicles halfway down the side and/or on the sides next to the tail lights. The rest of the set up was up to unit SOP or individuals, but if it was a big urn of boiling water, remebering that it was a bit heavy (along with everything else) it would probably be near the tail gate somewhere for easy access. Not sure how relevant my answer is but hope it helps. |
