The T-80's track are like the M1 tracks, I mean, with rubber pad, but only in the inner side, in the outer side are metallic. The T-72 series tracks are entirely metallic, these T-72 tracks were used in late T-54/55/62 and early T-90 as well. The T-80 tracks are used in the latest T-72 variants like the T-72MP or T-90 with a 12-teethed drive sprocket instead of the original 14-teethed. Hope this helps. Most regards.

Jose
