Ya, you sorta got is right......
The Canadian Leopard C2 used the hull from the Leopard C1....which had been modified from the basic Leopard 1A3 hull.....the turret is a modifed turret originally off of German Leopard 1A5s......they weren't just Leopard 1A3 hulls and a Leopard 1A5 turrets put together......lots of modifications for Canadian service.
What you need is either the Revell-Germany Leopard 1A5 or the Revell-Germany Leopard 1A1A1-A1A4 kit.....both are out of production by the way.
You could also use the Italeri Leopard 1A2 kit and get the Maple Leaf Models Leopard 1A5 set and the Maple Leaf Models Leopard C2 conversion kit.
But.......you would also need the Leopard C2 MEXAS armour......there isn't a conversion kit yet.....but it is coming soon from Maple Leaf Models.
So right now you can get the parts and kits to make the changes required to start a Leopard C2....but you either have to wait for the MEXAS armour or scratch build your own. |
