Hi Paul,
There are several fire fighting/emergency vehicles develloped on the T55, T72, BRDM and MTLB (and related vehicles) chassis. A quick Google search for forementioned vehicles gives a number of pics and text on the topic. There are also some excavators and building equipment based on ex-military hardware. Guess Former SU factories are looking for some outlets for their expertise and production capacity with the demise of the 'to be sure' contracts from the cold war gone now.
