Hi Alexander,
C Squadron 7th Royal Tank Regiment were deployed to Korean sailing from Southampton aboard the Empire Fowley on 12 October 1950 and arriving in Pusan on 15th November 1950.
They were equipted with the Churchill Mk VII Crocodile but the trailers weren't used as they were deployed as gun tanks. However 1 Tp retained it's trailers for a short time, before they were disgarded, to be towed by ACE Matadors. As far as I can tell they were all 75mm gun tanks and they seem to have retained the flame gun in the hull although this could have been repalced by a Besa MG but again I can find an evidence of this having been done in Korea.
They were involved in a number of actions, the first major one on 2 January 1951 near the village of Chunghung Dong.
The tanks when they arrived in Korea were in a poor condition most having sat idle for up to 5 years, many in storage in Germany. They were manned by National Servicemen made up to strength with WW2 Reservists call back to the colours and a core of experienced regulary servicemen.
The picture in your post shows 'Gerald' from C Sqn 7RTR fording the Imjin River.
Sorry can't help on the 165mm gun.
