Yes, the M102 did see service in Vietnam, with Airborne artillery units.
I have seen quite a few pictures of firebases with M102 howitzers manned
by 101st AB artillerymen. AFV Club's kit of the M102 has instructions to
make a Vietnam-era version.

On the other hand, if I remember correctly, turning Italeri's old 105mm
howitzer kit into a Vietnam-era piece requires some work,
