I just received the new "Afrika Korps in Colour" from RZM today. As the title suggests, it is a collection of wartime colour photographs of the DAK. It is an amazing book, it's amazing to see these vehicles and men in colour.
Having now looked at the real thing in colour, I can tell you that NONE of the models I've seen come close to being realistic! The most apparent difference is that the vehicles are not dead matte but have a certain shine to them. And dust is everywhere.
I'll be reviewing the book this weekend in full.
