My references also say this vehicle was in service till 'late 1942'. I don't have any photos of it from that period. German troops tended to hang on to armour until it was a write-off, so it's possible one or two survived that long - there were still Panzerjaeger I's in service at the end of the Tunisian campaign. If there were any, they would have been in either 15th or 21st Panzer (which didn't field any Tigers). I suspect if it still around by then it was a very rare animal indeed. There weren't many of them in North Africa to begin with (and at least 2 were lost in 1941 - one from 15th Panzer and one from 21st Panzer).

If you were really concerned about historical accuracy, then you have the choice of the Panzerjaeger I and Panzer II for your diorama.
