Are you sure it wasn't a conversion for the german version of the KV-II that weas prepared for Malta? It had a panzer IV coupula and a set of smoke grenades on the back. Mig Productions just put this out for the Tamiya KV-II. I think this is what you saw, as far as I know, they never put the KV-II turret on another tank.
