DJ, these were for filling the FT with consumables, namely flame fuel and compressed nitrogen. I forget which went through the hull tube (BTW, some did not bend down once outside the splash ring but had a quick-connect fitting attached on the horizontal pipe) and which was filled through a port in the loader's periscope mount.
