Hi Steve ,

Ok I'll try to give you the poop on this conglomeration .

First it has 40 cm tracks and F-G sprockets this is OK for a rebuild 43-45 but not a real D item.
The hub caps on the drive sprocket and the road wheels appear to be home made from the museam metal shop I guess.
The return rollers are all steel 44 type not rubber D's.
Biggee bad thing this Turret is terrible, the l/24 gun has a L/48 housing totally fake they were not like this in WW2 at all.
The turet front visors are the large diamonds these are OK but it has a IV A type cupola these do not match up properly ?
The gun trunion armored covers on each side of the guh housing to the front plate have the small flat edges this is a F-J type the D and E had these all rounded edges.
The large rivets on the recuperator housing front plate are up close to the barrel , they should be larger rivets and out on the very edges of the four corners this appears home made again connecting the L/24 to the L/48 huosing ?
The rain gutter over the turret doors is too short and welded on should be rivetted.
On the engine deck the turret goes over the tops of both engine hatches it should be forward more.
The turret touches the small round plate on the engine deck . this will not even let the turret rotate for real and the plate appears to be correctly positioned.
The angle iron spash rails on the fighting compartment roof appear to be over the engine hatches , the hatches cannot be opened this way ??
The muffler appears to be home made it looks pretty good but there are no straps to hold it on just the tailpipes this muffler would rattle off in action.
The fender tops are X patterned like the Pz II I do not believe any Pz IV;s had this type but you never know .
The turret roof is a later type , for a D it should not have the fan and should have the large rectangle hatch in front of the cupola for venting.
The Buldge below the cupola is another homemade item.
The oil filling hatch on the large engine hatch is a long rectangle it should be almost more squarish .
The turret frontplate only has one diamond visor cover one visor , these were eliminated in the G run.

Well thats just a quick list it appears they started with a D hull and then just used what they could find or made there own parts .It's an interesting tank would make a nice Movie prop . All I'm saying is do not use this in any way as a refrence its Bogus as a refrence. HTH.

Brian
