| Subject: | KV-1 with extra armor | |
| Date: | May 7, 2006 |

Hi,
I have two questions on the extra armour panels on the KV-1 Ehkranami.
1) On the Trumpeter model which I build there are gaps between the two turret panels that donīt appear on reference pictures I have found. Judging from pictures the forward panel is wider than the aft and the panels are not aligned with each other. My question is should the stepped "connection point" between the panels be of an angle of 90 degrees or more like 45 degrees? I hope you understand what I am trying to explain? my impression is that it is more like 45 degrees, am I right?
2) Also, judging from pictures of an surviving example in a museum, there shouldnīt be any void between the forward armor plate and the turret as well as between the armor panels on the chassi and the chassi itself? Did this feature differ between models or should I add plastic card to fill these voids?
TIA
