This restored Ford CMP Portee is supposed to be 158" wheel base.

I have an old modeling article from 1974 where the author stats 3 tonner Portees.

When you look at the photos, the 2 Pounder needs to be set up to fire, the gyn shield seems to be 1/4 into the front of the rear tire. Behind the cab there is a good amount of space devoted to ammo lockers and a crew bench.

3 Tonners I have read started with 134" wheel base and was lengthened to 158" to accomadate a spare tire mount.

If you compare Portee photos to FAT's, the wheel base is larger.

I have 1:35 line drawings in an old MAFVA magazine of a lengthened CMP, after I construct the 2 Pdr, I will compare it to the drawings and photos to try and make some sense of this.
