| Subject: | Tiger I zimmerit lay out | |

Hi guys,
One of the projects I'm working on is the DML late Tiger I 3 in 1 kit and I have the Atak zimmerit set to go with it. The Atak set gives a zimmerit sheet for the glacis too. This is a feature that's hard to see on most pics. I also noticed in the TL gallery that some of you did and some of you didn't do zimmerit on the glacis. I thought that zimmerit was only applied to vertical and slanted surfaces to prohibit attaching magnetic mines, so using it on the glacis seems a little overdone. So, is zimmerit on the Tiger I glacis a production variation, field or factory applied, common or rare? And is there some rule of thumb when to use it or not if the pics used gives no clear indication?
Cheers,
Alex |
